APMCC delegation calls on CM, discusses migrant employees’ issue

JAMMU, Aug 4: All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) led a delegation of migrant employees working in Kashmir valley called on the Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti under the chairmanship of APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit at her Srinagar Office yesterday and apprised her about the issues and concerns about resuming duties in Valley.
According to a statement issued by King C Bharati, senior journalist and national spokesperson APMCC, the delegation comprised of scores of migrant employees drawn from various districts of the Kashmir valley and had a detailed discussion with her regarding recent dictatorial orders issued by the Director School Education and the resentment it has generated within the community.
The delegation also apprised the Chief Minister about the security concerns of the employees belonging to Shopian, Pulwama and Kupwara districts whose residential camps came under direct and intense attacks during last year’s unrest.
Bharati said that the Chief Minister listened the employees patiently and shared their concerns regarding accommodation and security assuring them that Government would address their issues compassionately.
Vinod Pandit while complimenting the Chief Minister of her support since last year also reminded her about the assurance given to employees that they will be taken into confidence before asking them to resume their duties in Valley after addressing their accommodation, security and children’s admission issues.
Bharati said that Chief Minister has assured them that their genuine concerns would be discussed at the higher level and soon a decision would be taken and communicated to them through APMCC Chairman Vinod Pandit.
He said that a delegation of employees had moved to Srinagar the other day and later called on the Chief Minister to raise the issues after they met the Education Minister Altaf Bukhari in Jammu under the leadership of King C Bharati recently.
Those who raised the concerns of employees before the Chief Minister include, Ranjan Ji, Ajay Ji, Kamal Ji, Vinod Ji, Sweety, Sammer Ji etc.
