APMCC, AMEAK warn Government for harassing package employees

JAMMU, Feb 27 : A show of strength was demonstrated by All Parties Migrants Coordination Committee (APMCC) and All Migrant Employees Association Kashmir (AMEAK) along with top leadership of Kashmiri Pandit (KP) community at Surya Bhawan here today to show unity within the community and seek speedy justice on employees concerns.
The meeting organized by APMCC to discuss the issues of migrant employees working in Kashmir valley under PM and Non-PM packages in view of the reopening of schools was attended by majority of the employees and leadership of KP community. The leadership assured the employees their full and unconditional support.
The KP leadership asked the employees to rest assured that nobody will be allowed to harass them in view of the prevailing unrest in Kashmir Valley. They resolved that their issues would be taken up forcefully with the government and if it failed to address the issue they were with APMCC for going on fast-unto death agitation in Jammu.
The speakers expressed their dismay that on the one hand the government itself says that the conditions were not conducive in Valley and has started fresh registration of migrants and on the other hand some officials were indirectly forcing these Pandit employees to join their duties.
The leadership asked the government to order the release of salaries of all the migrant employees till February ending immediately. They said that on the one hand Government leaves no stone unturned to publicize its so called Mahashivratrai greetings but on the other hand many employees had to observe the most pious day without salaries and sought the intervention of the Chief Minister in this regard.
The leadership also asked the Government to issue a clear order that no migrant employee is forced to join till normalcy returns to Valley and sought a clear order for up-to-date release of salaries of all the migrant employees and ensure that they continue to receive their salaries without any delay.
Prominent among those who attended today’s massive show of strength include Swami Kumar Ji, Vinod Pandit, Chairman APMCC, King C Bharati, national spokesperson APMCC, MK Yogi, President NC Minority Cell, Ruban Saproo, president AMEAK, Virender Kuchroo, BJP Migrant Cell, advocate Arun Kandroo, , Dr Tej Bhat, of ASKPC, Sanjay Koul, of All J&K Displaced Youth Forum, Roshan Lal Ticku, Secretary CPI-M, Migrant Cell, DN Kissu chairman All Displaced Kashmir United Forum, PL Sudeshi, President ADKUF, Som Nath Saraf, vice president Kapal Mochan and others.
