AoL celebrates 62nd birthday of Sri Sri

JAMMU, May 13: 62nd birthday of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, a renowned spiritual Guru and the founder of International Art of Living (AoL) Foundation, was celebrated with gaiety and fervour all over the globe.
The Art of Living – Jammu organized several programmes, in tune with the organization’s ideology of Sadhna, Seva and Satsang, to commemorate the occasion.
Earlier from very dawn, Sudershan Kriya- a rythmic breathing exercise session evolved by Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, was organized at all happiness centres of AoL in the Jammu city, Kathua and Udhampur which was attended by a very large number of followers of the revered Guru.
To express gratitude to Sri Sri, Guru Pooja was conducted at AoL centres namely Gian Mandir and Temple of Knowledge AoL meditation centres at Trikuta Nagar, Rotary Bhawan Gandhi Nagar, Sri Sri Dhyan Kendra Shakti Nagar, Sri Sri Dhyan Kendra at Janipur, Aap Shambhu Temple meditation hall and Nagrota village meditation hall along with Udhampur and Kathua centres.
The family of Art of Living put up chabeel and organised a bhandara at Indira Chowk where MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta, lit up the lamp along with MLC Vikram Randhawa. Another bhandara and chabeel was organized at Sector 1 Shiv Temple, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu where more than 5000 people from all walks of life joined in having Prasadam.
AoL Jammu chapter organizers also visited SOS Home, Old Age Home and Blind School, and distributed food and sweets to the inmates. A mesmerizing concert of divine music was organized in the evening at Gurukul Event Centre, Akhnoor road, Jammu, where a renowned AoL singer kept the gathering enchanted with his rendition of blissful bhajans. The concert was organized to raise funds for ‘Gift A Smile Project’, an AoL living initiative to educate the rural and tribal children.
Similar events were also organised at Kathua, Bani and Udhampur to mark the birth celebrations of the revered guru. A musical evening by the name of ‘Bhajan Sandhya’ was organised at SVER Palace, Kathua, where Mihir, a renowned Sumeru singer of AoL, rendered blissful bhajans in the glory of the Almighty.
