UDHAMPUR, Feb 8: A deputation of Association of Industries (AoI), Udhampur met with General Manager, DIC Udhampur, Neelam Khajuria under the leadership of vice chairman, Pardeep Bakshi, and discussed various problems faced by unit holders
During the meeting, Sameer Malgoria said that district Udhampur is a backward district from the industrial point of view. In Battal Ballian industrial area, roads are in worst condition, maximum drains are blocked and lights are not properly functioning. He said the association time to time took up these issues with SICOP but no heed was paid and few months back owners of different units themselves got repaired the connection road which leads from National Highway to Battal Ballian Industrial are.
Raghubir Gandotra apprized the GM DIC about the loopholes in single window system clearance and the resultant suffering to new entrepreneurs. He said that according to this system new unit holder will be provided all NOCs i.e. Land from SICOP, PAC/ sanction from PDD, Consent to Establish from PCB on the same day from one table but unfortunately this is more complicated situation now, as the person who are interested to start unit should arrange himself all the above said NOCs only then his case will recommended to Single Window meeting for clearance.
He further said that there is no specific time for single window meeting and the new unit has to wait for long time.
After hearing the grievances of entrepreneurs the GM DIC assured the association to give full support to them. She also assured that all the problems being faced by unit holders will be taken to the higher authority.
