JAMMU, Sept 16: Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal today conducted elections for six posts of office bearers for the term 2017-2019.
Rattan Dogra was elected as president securing 215 votes against 207 votes polled by Tejwant Singh Reen. For the post of senior vice president, Bansi Lal Gupta (who secured 214 votes) was declared elected. He defeated Romesh Sethi, who managed to get 202 votes.
Ashok Kumar Jain (who secured 247 votes) was declared elected for the post of vice-president. He defeated Balram Gupta, who got 175 votes. For the post of general secretary, Pardeep Vaid, who secured 217 votes, was declared elected. He defeated Virendra Jain, who got 201 votes.
Sandeep Ohri (229 votes) was declared elected for the post of secretary, as he defeated Vijay Sharma, who got 191 votes. For the post of treasurer, Lavinder Singh Puri was declared elected. He secured 219 votes and defeated Sudhir Gupta, who got 200 votes.
The polling started at 10 AM and concluded at 4 PM. The entire process was orderly and peaceful and large number of industrial unit holders remained present for a good part of the day at Association premises. The counting process at 4.30 PM and continued upto 7 PM.
The entire election process was very smoothly and ably conducted by the Election Committee members, Jugal Kishore Gupta, Bipin Sharma, Sudershan Khajuria, Kanwaljeet Singh and Ajay Gupta along with co-opted team of the Election Committee.
