JAMMU, Sept 18: A delegation of entrepreneurs led by Rattan Dogra, newly elected president of Association of Industries (AoI), Gangyal called on Ram Lal, National general secretary of BJP and apprised him of the plight of the local industries due to non-issuance of assured notifications to grant financial incentives/exemptions.
They further apprised him that local entrepreneurs are absolutely unaware of their status and fate after the implementation of GST regime. They told Ram Lal that like in the past the present State Government has also failed to issue requisite Government orders and accord any priority to mitigate the miseries and sufferings of the local industrial sector.
Ram Lal advised the delegation to bring the matter to the notice of the concerned authorities of State as well as Central level for speedier redressal of their grievances. In this regard, Ram Lal having understood the concerns of the local industrial units on the spot brought the matter to the notice of Arun Jaitley, Union Finance Minister so that the problems of the local industries are attended in the right prospective on priority.
Arun Jaitley advised Rattan Dogra to lead the delegation of local entrepreneurs to Delhi to further apprise the concerns of local industries to the notice of the Government of India at various levels for taking instant remedial measures.
Rattan Dogra further apprised Arun Jaitley and Ram Lal to direct BJP representatives in the State Cabinet to shun casualness and non-serious attitude to attend the matter on top most priority so as to save thousands of local industrial units from closure.
They both assured that the requisite necessary steps shall be initiated on priority and every required step shall be taken to protect the interest of local industries largely established in Jammu region and lakhs of workers/employes employed therein from unwarranted unemployment.
