Anti-encroachment drive launched by JDA

JAMMU, Feb 6: Taking cognizance of encroachments/ un-authorized constructions falling in the jurisdiction of Jammu Development Authority, the Enforcement Wing today demolished some structures which were raised over JDA land at Roop Nagar EWS Colony, Bhouri Market-Kalika Colony Bahu Fort, Khanpur-Nagrota, and stopped  ongoing constructions which are being raised without any valid building permission from competent authority.
The anti encroachment drive was launched on the directions of the Vice Chairman, JDA under the supervision of Dr Gurvinder Jeet Singh, Director Land Manage-ment JDA, Narinder Singh Chief Khilafwarzi Officer, Ashraf Parvez Tehsildar JDA Zone-B, Tarsem Lal Tehsildar JDA Zone-A, Pankaj Singh Sambyal Khilafwarzi Officer, Rajinder Singh Choudhary, Parshotam Kumar, Girdhari Lal, Romesh Kumar, Naresh Kumar, Booti Singh Khilafwarzi Inspectors including Revenue and Enforcement field staff JDA.
During the day long drive on National Highway from Nagrota-Jagti stretch & Roop Nagar to Kote Bhalwal main road, the staff of Enforcement Wing of JDA stopped the unauthorized constructions being raised in violation of Building Bye Laws & Master Plan, for which notices are being issued to defaulters under Control of Building Operation Act, 1988.
JDA has requested the general public, who intends to raise construction residential/commercial in the jurisdiction of Jammu Development Authority, that JDA is only competent authority to sanction building permission in local area as per Master Plan, if any permission granted by any other agency it is invalid, for which action warranted under law shall be taken against the defaulter.
