UDHAMPUR, Feb 19: AG Ansari, General Manager, Salal Power Station felicitated winners of essay competitions organized among KV Jyotipuram students, CISF Personnel and their wards on the topics ‘Don’t be Cruel and Save your Fuel’ & ‘Save Energy for the benefit of Self & Nation’.
AZ. Geelani, Chief Engineer (Electrical), Shiv Prakash, Assistant Commandent CISF, JK Sharma, Manager (HR), Officers of NHPC, CISF Personnel and teachers were present on the occasion.
Pertinent to mention that the said competitions are organized as part of the Departmental action Plan prepared by the Inter Ministerial Committees of Govt. of India whereby it has been decided to hold Essay writing Competitions / Drawing Comp-etitions on Energy Conservation on Monthly Basis to inculcate Energy Efficiency thought and habit among young people.
Emphasizing the need to conserve Energy, Mr Ansari said that Energy Conservation is the need of the hour as energy saved is as good as energy produced. He advised the small children to convey the message to their family members, neighbourers and friends to sensitize and motivate them to conserve energy.
