Anjuman holds one day Seerat-Un-Nabi Conference

JAMMU, Dec 3: A one day Seerat -Un-Nabi Conference was held at Central Eid Gah Residency Road here, today under the banner of Anjuman-Islah-Ul-Muslimeen, Jammu.
The programme spread over three sessions. The first session was held in the morning, second in the afternoon and third in the evening.
The first session was presided over by Naib Mohtamim Jamia, Zia -ul-Uloom, Poonch, Maulana Syed Ahmed Habib. Mufti Mohammad Anwar Khan from Mumbai and Moulana Syed Arshad Nadvi from Srinagar participated in the second session.
The programme started with recitation of holy Quran by Qari Farooq Ahmed followed by Naat by Maulana Noor Din Qasim. The key note address was delivered by Maulana Safdar Baqri, a faculty of Jamia-tul-Muntazir, Nowgama Sadat, district Amroha (UP). Moulana delivered a thought provoking discourse on the teaching and life of Prophet Mohammad.
He said that the life of Prophet gives us the lesson to adopt Islam in real and practical sense. He further said that Islam stands for quality and not for quantity. He highlighted the character of Muslim in the light of message of Prophet Mohammad and said that to sacrifice self interest for the collective interest is the teaching of Islam by Prophet. He exhorted the audience to reflect unity in their thought and action and if this unity is achieved the purpose to hold such conferences would be achieved.
Another speaker Maulana Abdul Subhan Batkali Nadvi who is a faculty member of Zia-Ul-Uloom, Maidanapur Takia Raibarily (UP) in his address said this is the high time for the multifarious aspects of the life of Prophet Mohammad to be highlighted.
He stressed that Islam and the life of Prophet teaches respect and love for human beings which gives birth to a peaceful society. The presidential address was given by Maulana Syed Ahmad Habib. He expressed the hope that such programmes would bring change in our thoughts and actions. He said real message of Prophet is how to elevate the humanity and how to establish a pious society based on truth and justice.
He said Prophet succeeded in his mission and brought a total revolution in a short span of 23 years of his Prophethood.
Speaker State Assembly, Kavinder Gupta, ex Minister and president, Dogra Sadar Sabha, Gulchain Singh Charak and MLA Jammu East, Rajesh Gupta also graced the occasion. They expressed their gratitude for holding such a programme. The Speaker and MLA said that such programmes help in bringing together and remove misunderstandings.
The proceedings were conducted by H A Siddiqui advocate and Anjuman-Islah-Ul-Muslimeen, Jammu complimented the people, guests and administration for their support and cooperation in holding the programme.
