JAMMU, Jan 23: Anjuman-e-Islamia, Qadeemi Shahi Jamia Masjid elected its new body in a meeting of administrative and organizing committee of Shahi Masjid held under the presidentship of Ab Rashid Bhat in the premises of Masjid Shahi Bahu Fort.
The meeting was attended by designated members from Bahu Fort Reeka and Mohalla Shah Abad. The members unanimously elected Ab Rashid Bhat as president, Choudhary Shah Mohd (Shah Abad) as 1st vice president, Akhter Hussain Wani as 2nd vice president, Mohd Yaseen Mir as general secretary, Mohd Idrees Tak as joint secretary, Nazir Ahmad Manhas as cashier, Mushtaq as auditor and Mohd Iqbal Ganai (Shah Abad) as press secretary.
Besides, Muqeem Ahmad, Ghulam Mustafa Wani, Haji Mohd Sidiq Choudhary, Mohd Ali Rawat, Masood Ahmad, Haji Ch Mohd, Fareed Ahmad, Mohd Ramzan, Shah Mohd Chopra, Khurshid Ahmad Choudhary, Mohd Saleem, Ch Nazir Ahmad, Haji Ali Mohd, Ali Mohd Lone, Mohd Sadique Salaria, Adil Salaria, Bilal Ahmad were nominated as working committee members.
The members unanimously agreed that the tenure of the committee shall be of three years and the name of the body will be Anjumana-e-Islamia Qadeemi Shahi Jama Masjid Bahu Fort, Jammu Tawi.
It was also decided that the committee shall be wholly and solely responsible for the renovation and expansion of the Masjid and the matters related to graveyard in consultation with working committee of the Masjid.
