Amit Sharma inspects land records at Jaganoo, Kud

UDHAMPUR, June 15: Amit Sharma, Regional Director, Survey and Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer), Udhampur/Reasi conducted an extensive tour of two important Niabats Jaganoo and Kud, here.
He was accompanied by his team comprising NT Karnail Singh, NT Narinder Kumar and Bhagat Singh.
During the tour, Sharma focused primarily on inspection of land records falling under the jurisdiction of Jaganoo and Kud Niabats wherein available documents were found in proper order & quality although lot of record was unavailable due to ongoing strike of Patwaris and Girdawars of the State, who kept abstaining from duties during the respective visits.
Lots of issues of these old Niabats of Udhampur were jotted down by  Sharma which included provision of better quality stationery and papers, improvement of road connectivity to Jaganoo Niabat, setting-up of Commission to write fresh Jamabandies of old Kud areas and provision of Girdawars for smooth conduct of revenue work, etc.
Before concluding the tour,  Sharma instructed concerned Tehsildars and staff to attend to public grievances on priority and organize public darbars at far-flung areas so that lot of pending revenue issues can be resolved at door-steps of citizens.
He also exhorted upon the revenue officials to work with total zeal and dedication so that there is visible dispensation of revenue and land related cases, which will also set a perfect platform for Computerization of Land Records under ongoing DILRMP.
