JAMMU, Aug 22: To review Mission 44+ and frame a road map for coming Assembly elections in the State, the National president of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Amit Shah is arriving here on August 24 for his two days maiden visit of Jammu region.
He will be accompanied by two Party general secretaries, J P Nada and Ram Madhav, besides the Prabhari for J&K Avinash Rai Khanna and Seh Prabhari, R P Singh.
According to Party sources Mr Shah will land at Jammu airport at 2.50 pm where from he will be taken into a grand procession by party activists to Guest House at Canal road. He will have a night stay at Jammu and proceed towards Kathua next morning by road to attend a Party rally there where former MP and senior Congress leader Lal Singh will join the Party.
Mr Shah will also address a public rally at Kathua Ram Lila ground, sources said. After assuming office of party president it is Mr Shah’s first tour to State of J&K which is going to polls by end of this year, sources added.
Sources said Mr Shah soon after his arrival here will hold a detailed meeting with senior functionaries of the Party and discuss the poll strategy with them. Besides, the names of probable and prospective candidates for Assembly elections will also be discussed in the meeting by Party leaders with Mr Shah, sources added.
He will also review the prevailing political situation in the State with BJP leaders and seek a feed back from them on the ongoing political developments in the State, sources said.
Next day morning Mr Shah will also hold a meeting with senior Party leaders including State party chief Jugal Kishore Sharma, general secretaries and vice presidents to review the Mission 44+ and poll strategy for the Assembly elections. The Union Minister in PMO, Dr Jitendra Singh will also join the rally at Kathua, sources added.
Confirming this BJP Legislative Party leader Ashok Khajuria and coordinator for the programme Bali Bhagat said that road map for the coming Assembly elections will be discussed by the Party leaders with Mr Shah.
They said the rally will be addressed at Ram Lila ground Kathua by Mr Shah next day. After addressing the rally the BJP president will return Jammu in the afternoon, where from he will leave for Union Capital in 4.50 pm flight.
