Amit awarded in National Summit for bringing innovations

JAMMU, Mar 10: Amit Sharma, Regional Director (RD), Survey and Land Records (Ex-Officio Settlement Officer) Udhampur/Reasi was felicitated with an award for bringing innovations through persistent and consistent e-Governance initiatives, during 2nd National Urban Development Summit held at Aizawal in Mizoram.
Apart from this, Amit Sharma participated as a key speaker in a very important session on “Digital Revolution and Innovation in Urban Transportations” in which he shared his perspectives on the subject. He pointedly mentioned that ongoing Smart City projects across the nation must envisage the concepts of sensor-based automatic toll charging, multi-level vertical parking slots, intelligent traffic lighting systems, web-enabled traffic monitoring and control systems, car pooling, bike sharing, awareness drives for commuters, etc.
Other speakers who spoke along with RD S&LR in this session included Arun Dev Gautam, Secretary Department of Home & Transport, Government of Chhatissgarh who moderated the session very well, Navin Rai, Joint Chief Town Planner, Urban Development & Housing Department, Government of Sikkim and Lalmuansanga Ralte, Deputy CEO, Aizawal Smart City Ltd, who shared the future plans.
The Conference was inaugurated by Mizoram Chief Minister, Pu Lalthanhawla. Lot of national-level initiatives of different states of the nation were recognized and honoured in the Summit including the one of RD, S&LR, Amit Sharma with the usage of e Governance as a powerful tool to provide transparent and better governance in future.
After receiving the special award at the national level, Amit Sharma reiterated his resolve towards bringing holistic solutions with the usage of e Governance tools for improving services deliverance to the public in the near future and provision of maximum services without any human interface in times to come.
