MENDHAR, June 24:  Amidst stone pelting by land grabbers and their supporters at village Galuta, the joint team, of  Forest, FPF and Police dismantled two shops raised on forest land in Mendhar sub division of district Poonch today.
Official sources said that based on the directions  from DFO Poonch, a team of forest officials led by Range Officer Mendhar Azmat Hussain Shah and SHO Gursai, Insp Sanjay Gupta organised an operation at village Galuta where two brothers Mohd Juned and Mohd Sultan of the same village had raised shops on Forest Nursary land. These two brothers allegedly grabbed a portion of Forest Nursery land and started constructing pucca shops  about one month back despite objection by local forest staff.
As the Police and forest team arrived there, family members of these two and their supporters started stone pelting. The FPF and police men retaliated and made the villagers to flee. Later, they smashed both the structures and covered the land.  The police has also registered a case against them.
