AKHNOOR, Jan 14: Getting the better of Friends Warriors Jourian by 43 runs in the semifinals, Amar Cricket Club Jourian sealed berth in the finals of the ongoing New Year Cricket Cup Akhnoor 2019, being played here.
Earlier, winning the toss and batting first, ACC Jourian scored a good total of 150 runs in the stipulated 20 overs, losing 8 wickets in the process. Sachin top scored with 43 runs, while Billa contributed 33 runs to the total. Mahesh Bhardwaj and Devinder chipped in with 22 and 20 runs respectively. For Friends Warriors Jourian, Robin and Vishal took 2 wickets each, while Sonu, Chetan and Sagar claimed one wicket each.
In reply, FCC bundled out for 107 runs in 18 overs, thus lost the match by 43 runs. Sandeep, Anil Choudhary and Vishal contributed 21, 17 and 14 runs respectively. Raghuvir Singh was the pick of the bowlers from ACC Jourian, who took 4 important wickets, while Manish bagged 3 wickets and Billa claimed 2 wickets. Billa of ACC Jourian was declared as the man of the match for his all-round display.
The match was officiated by Sumit Sharma and Koushal Sharma as umires, while Rohit Kumar and Amit Rajput were the scorers.
