JAMMU, Jan 13: Jammu Rising Stars defeated Vishal Cricket Club Juniors in the 7-MatchT20 Cricket Series for Under-16 Boys, being organized by Vishal Cricket Club Jammu at Parade Ground, here.
SSP RK Bhat and SSP Ramesh Kotwal were the special guests in today’s match, who were introduced with the participating teams.
Earlier, batting first, Vishal Cricket Club Juniors scored 130 runs for 3 wickets in the stipulated 18 overs. Akshit was the star performer who scored 72 runs, while Rohan Gill contributed 38 runs. From Vishal Juniors, Sourav and Aditya took 1 wicket each.
In reply, Jammu Rising Stars chased the target by losing 6 wickets, thus won the match by 4 wickets. Sourav (36), Shivansh (22) and Laith (18) were the main scorers. Shavac and Sachin took 2 wickets each.
