Akhoon asks youths to focus on studies

KARGIL, Sept 10: Youths are the architects of the future of our country and they should focus on their studies and perform their work honestly.
This was stated by senior political leader and former Minister Qamar Ali Akhoon while addressing the students of Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Kargil on the occasion of 29th Youth Parliament Programme which was organized at JNV Khumathang. The programmes was organized under the directions and guidelines issued by Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.
Akhoon asked the youths to take part in every day to day activity and also raise voice against the crime which took place in society. He also urged upon youths to educate people of the society about communal harmony so as to maintain peace and brotherhood in the region and State of Jammu and Kashmir.
He said that India has best parliamentary form of Government among other countries of the world. He further said that the Republic of India is the largest democracy in the world and the second most populous country. Indian constitution gives every citizen the right to practice and propagate a religion of his choice and treats all religions as equal, he added.
During the proceedings, the students played the roles of Member of Parliament and exhibited their knowledge of parliamentary procedures and proceedings. There were intense discussions over many burning issues during question hour, calling attention motion and bill were also presented.
On the occasion Assistant Commissioner JNV, Principals of JNV Khumathang, Leh, Poonch, teaching staff and large number of student were present.
