RAJOURI, Aug 4: Army and police today recovered AK rifles and pistols from a natural cave hideout at village Baurgalli under the jurisdiction of Kandi Kotranka police station in this district .
“A joint team of Police and Army today recovered two AK rifles, three pistols and two AK magazines from a natural cave in Baurgalli area,” official sources said. They said that acting on a specific input, a joint search operation of police and Army was launched in the area during which an old hideout of the militants was detected and destroyed.
After making hectic searches, the team finally succeeded in locating and tracing the weapons from the hideout, which was being used by the terrorists in past, sources said.
“Though the weaponry was an old stock, its recovery has prevented it from falling into the hands of anti-national elements,” they added.
