AJKHA discusses demands of Headmasters

JAMMU, July 16: All Jammu Kashmir Headmasters’ Association (AJKHA) discussed the demands of the Headmasters during a meeting of the association held here today under the chairmanship of Kiran Rajput.
The issues discussed in the meeting include regularization of Headmasters in toto and abolishing the incharge system completely, which is prevailing in the education system at present. The speakers also stressed for categorization of Headmaster in non-vocational category as the Headmaster works for the complete year, also in the summer as well as winter vacation.
The members also demanded grant of 5400 grade pay at par with 10+2 lecturers instead of 5200, as the Headmasters have much more responsibility as compared to 10+2 lecturers. They also demanded change of nomenclature from Headmaster to High School Principal, which needs nil involvement of finance from the Government but is innovative, boosting for the enthusiasm of the cadres.
Prominent among others present in the meeting were Roop Lal, Balwan Singh, Bhupinder Shastri, PL Dubey, Anita Sharma, Rajinder Kumar, Kiran Rajput, Kiran Malhotra, Rita Angral, Ajeet Kour and Raj Rani.
