JAMMU, Dec 3: Former Minister and Member Legislative Council, Ajatshatru Singh today inaugurated various development works in Nagrota Assembly constituency.
The BJP legislator visited Aithem Panchayat and adjoining areas and inaugurated a transformer and other works that were executed out of his Constituency Development Fund.
While interacting with the people on the occasion, he reiterated his resolve to help the poor masses of the area in every respect and mitigate their woes. He said that despite being close to Jammu city the Nagrota Constituency still lacks basic amenities and lot needs to be done to improve living standards of the people.
“People need to be aware of various Government schemes so that they get maximum benefits out of these schemes. A lot of funds are being made available through centrally sponsored schemes and instead of fighting for undue credit for these schemes people should ensure that these funds reach to the poorest of the poor”, the MLC said.
He also inspected the under construction road from Aithem to Pehar Dev Asthan and assured that the completion of this important road will be undertaken on priority. He warned those forces which are hell bent to block development for petty political considerations. He said that road connectivity is the priority of PDP-BJP Government and every effort will be made to complete all important roads.
