kishtwar, Jan 29: People of far flung areas of Tehsil Dacchan today called on People’s Democratic Party’s MLC Firdous Ahmed Tak.
The deputation demanded immediate airlifting of the stranded people of snow bound Dachan area.
During the meeting, the deputation led by PDP vice president, Dacchan, Mohd Ramzan Magray, said that due to heavy snowfall the road and telecommunications facilities have been snapped and people were stranded in Dachan and Marwah-Warwan.
Since there was no option of transportation except the airlifting, they requested the MLC to take up the issue with concerned authorities for immediate redressal.
Firdous Tak assured them that he would take up the issue with Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti. He said that he has already raised issue of airlifting several times in Legislative Assembly.
