Air traffic resumes at Srinagar airport

SRINAGAR: Air traffic at Srinagar International Airport was on Saturday resumed after remaining suspended due to fresh snowfall and poor visibility since morning, an official of airport said.
No flight could operate since morning as the visibility was very poor due to snowfall, he said.
However, he said, following improvement in the visibility after snow stopped, flight operation resumed Saturday afternoon. So far three flightsSpice Jet one and Indigo two landed here this afternoon, he said adding flights will operate till weather permits since there is a forecast for snow Saturday.
This is the third time air traffic was suspended at Srinagar airport this month so far.
Meanwhile, there is a forecast for moderate to heavy snowfall during the next three days from tomorrow in the valley which again could affect air besides surface traffic. (AGENCIES)
