AIIMS CC continues mass mobilization campaign

Jammu, June 29: As part of mass mobilization campaign in Jammu region, the AIIMS Coordination Committee (ACC), which has been championing the cause of Jammu for almost two months now and demanding AIIMS for the region, today organized a meeting at Jammu Dry Fruits Market at Jewel Chowk here this evening.
A large number of prominent citizens participated in the meeting and promised support to the ACC. They said that they were for the establishment of AIIMS in Jammu and they would do all that they could to defeat the evil game plan of those who snatched the AIIMS sanctioned for Jammu.
Addressing the prominent citizens drawn from all walks of life, chairman ACC and president JKHBA, Jammu, Abhinav Sharma said that it is the time for the people of Jammu region to prepare themselves for a relentless struggle after July 20.
“Our elected representatives failed the people of Jammu region and that in the reason that all the civil society groups in Jammu had to come on one non-political platform to launch a movement for the  establishment of AIIMS in Jammu” Abhinav Sharma said, adding that it was a matter of great satisfaction that people cutting across party lines and religious considerations have been joining the movement. He also informed that a number of teams of ACC members have fanned all across the region mobilizing public opinion on the issue.
Prominent, among others, who addressed the meeting included Deepak Aggarwal, vice-president, Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCI), R L Bhat, Rajesh Khurana, secretary general and vice-president, Jammu Dry Fruits Market Association, Jewel Chowk, Rajiv Chuni, Chairman SoS (PoK Refugees Organization), Dheeraj Pargal, vice-president, Lower Raghunath Bazaar Association and Rajesh Gupta.
