JAMMU, Jan 30: Like other parts of the country, all the employees of J&K State AIDS Prevention and Control Society (JKSACS) held a protest demonstration here today in support of their demands.
Call for the protest was given by All India AIDS Control Employees Association.
The protesting employees in Jammu and Srinagar assembled at office premises of Project Director JKSACS in the capital cities and raised slogans in support of their demands. Employees belonging to ICTC Centres, ART Centres, PPTCT centres, OST centres, STD Clinics and Blood Banks participated in the protest.
They were demanding regularization of services of the employees who are working in the department for the last 10-15 years, immediate withdrawal of IV phase salary order, yearly increments, medical/EPF/insurance facility and leave at par with regular Government employees.
While addressing the employees, State president of J&K AIDS control Employees Association, Shahnawaz Ahmad threatened to further intensify the strike and even suspend the emergency services also.
