Ahead of Diwali, Pak fires unprovoked on LoC in Rajouri

JAMMU: Pakistani Army yet again violated the ceasefire by firing unprovoked on the Line of Control in Rajouri district of Jammu and Kashmir.
“Pakistan Army on Wednesday morning at around 0745 hours initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from in Bhimber Gali sector along the Line of Control (LC),” defence spokesman here said.
He said that the firing was still on on last reports came in adding, ” Indian Army is retaliating strongly and effectively to the provocation”.
Meanwhile police sources said that seven civilians reportedly injured in the firing and some vehicles also got damaged as the shells landed in the forward villages close to the LoC.
Earlier on October 14, four children including a minor got injured as Pakistan shelled forward villages along the Line of Control in Poonch district.
On October 13 also Pakistan violated the truce agreement by firing unprovoked in Poonch.
On October 12, a Jawan and a porter attained martyrdom while six others got injured in cross border firing in KG sector of Poonch.(AGENCIES)
