Agriculture Casual Labourers’ dharna enters 15th day

Jammu, Oct 8: The Agriculture Casual Labour Union’s (ACLU) dharna entered into 15th day today which is being held at Krishi Bhawan, Talab Tillo, here.
Rajan Sharma, president of Casual Labour, Agriculture Department, Jammu  led the dharna in which workers particpated from SM Farm Chinore, Agriculture Workshop, Seed Processing Plant, Chakrohi Farm and other sections. They raised the slogans in support of their regularization demands. They further added that protest will continue till the policy for regularization is implemented.
The leader of Casual Labour Union showed great resentment over the delaying tactics of State Government to frame the policy for regularization.
Rajan said that Casual Labour’s complete record is lying in the Administrative Department for regularization but till date nothing has been done. The leaders present on the occasion urged the State Government that Casual Labour of Agriculture Department are continuously drawing the wages on muster sheets through Government treasuries w.e.f. 1994 and their case is fit for regularization.
Others who addressed were Rajinder Kumar, Pitamber Nath, Anil Gandotra, Ravi Kumar, Tilak Raj, Ganesh Sharma, Amit Sharma, Bikram Singh, Baldev Chand, Vijay Kumar and Shakti Kumar.
