JAMMU, Sept 11: All J&K Agriculture Officers Welfare Forum delegation comprising of Chief Executive Council members called on Director Agriculture, Dr S S Jamwal here today and apprised him of various burning problems being faced by the agriculture officers.
The Deputation which was led by Vijay Kumar Upadhyaya put forth the charter of demands which included early conduct of DPC, granting of time bound promotions for gazetted cadre,  reorganization of Agriculture Department and making of interim arrangements for filling up of vacant posts on the pattern of one man one post and one charge.
The Forum demanded interim relief for the senior most officers of the Department by placing them on higher available vacant posts on the basis of one man one post and one charge as has been done in Kashmir Valley.
The delegation said that the working of the Department has suffered because one officer is holding three to four posts as the DPC as the DPC has not been convened for last three decades.
The delegation said that in Kashmir Valley all the vacant posts have been filled up by making interim arrangements and this may be implemented in Jammu too.
The Director assured the delegation that the issues at Directorate level will be settled at an earliest.
