Agni IV

In yet another laurel to Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Indian scientists have made a landmark in successfully test firing Agni IV nuclear powered missile with the strike capacity up to 4000 miles. The sophisticated surface-to-surface missile is equipped with modern and compact avionics to provide high level of reliability. We salute our scientists and the entire staff of this crucial research institute for providing most modern and sophisticated defence protective arrangement. Obviously, the way in which the DRDO is working happily assures the nation that it will leave no stone unturned to provide teeth to country’s security system.
It will be mentioned that whatever development in the field of nuclear technology and associated components has taken place in the country has been done only through indigenous efforts. It shows that our scientists and technocrats are capable of providing us modern and most sophisticated defence mechanism to deter any ill intentions against our nation. India has more than once made it clear to the world that she will not be the first to use nuclear weapon nor does her nuclear technology aim at threatening and intimidating any country near or far. But given the ground situation especially the hostile attitude of two of our close neighbours, India needs a deterrent so that nobody remains under any doubt of India retaliating in case she is challenged. We are a peace loving country but that does not mean that others should take us for granted and play ricks with us. It is true that in the past, we committed some mistakes of giving low priority to our defence preparedness and that caused us grievous loss. Having learnt lessons from our past mistakes, we have corrected our perception. The results that we get from the efforts of our scientists and technocrats whether at DRDO or other institutions and universities is the outcome of that revised perception.
