After Punjab, HP Govt offers post of DSP to Indian Women Cricketer Sushma Verma

SHIMLA/CHANDIGARH:  Following the footsteps of Punjab Government offering job to Indian Women Cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur, the Himachal Pradesh Government offered the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) to Indian Women International Cricket Team member Sushma Verma.

     Before leaving for Delhi, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh said our state government has proposed to Sushma the post of DSP in the Himachal Pradesh Police because she has earned name for the state with her performance in international cricket.

    She has brought laurels to the state and to the people of Himachal Pradesh by excelling herself in international cricket.

  Sushma, hailing from Himri Panchayat of Shimla Village made a place in the national women’s team thanks to her performance at the domestic level.

   She also plays for HPCA. Himachal’s team was the runner-up in the Under-19 All India Woman Tournament 2011 in her captaincy.

   She is also the only cricketer from the state in international cricket.
