Affected businessmen protest for rehabilitation policy

UDHAMPUR, Apr 16: Demanding rehabilitation policy for the roadside vendors and small businessmen along National Highway at Chenani, Tamater Morh, Kud, Patnitop and Batote, the affected persons held a protest demonstration at Tamater Morh.
The protest was organized under the banner of Jan -Sangharsh, led by Advocate Sanjeet Bavouria, who highlighted the loss caused to these small businessmen due to opening of Chenani -Nashri tunnel
He explained that due to opening of Chenani -Nashri tunnel, these shopkeepers, Dhabawalas and hoteliers have suffered badly due to non-plying of vehicles on this stretch.  Claiming that  no framing of rehabilitation policy in favor of these effected  businessmen amount to snatching of their  fundamental right,  he demand 10 marlas of land to these people along the widened NHW.
Others, who addressed the protest demonstration, included Sarpanch Jai Kumar, Naib Sarpanch Kewal Krishan Bhagat, Raj Singh, Ashok Kumar, Munshi Ram, Sham Lal, Suresh Kumar, Surjeet Singh, Bodh Raj, Arjun Kumar, Rinku, Ajay Kumar and Ram Dass.
