REASI, Nov 2: A Supervisor of AFCON Company was shot at by an employee at Gran Morh, here last night.
The victim, identified as Shabir Ahmed, son of Abdul Hamid Wani of Kattal, Gran Morh, was shifted to District Hospital Reasi for treatment and later on shifted to GMC Jammu while the accused, namely Shakur Ahmad, son of Ab Hamid Wani, has been taken into custody while weapon of offence, a 12 bore rifle, was also seized.
According to Dy SP Hqrs Reasi, Dr Nikhil Gogna, a distress call was received from the staff of AFCONS Company that one Shakur Ahmed had fired upon Shabir Ahmed after a quarrel. On this information, Police team led by SHO Reasi, Inspector Jasbir Singh, rushed to the spot and shifted the injured person to the District Hospital Reasi, and after putting hectic efforts succeeded to arrest the accused nearby his house and also recovered the weapon of offence within 2 hours, he added.
In this regard a case FIR No. 230/2017 under section 307 RPC, 3/25 Arms Act has been registered at PS Reasi.
Meanwhile, a 35-year-old man was found hanging from a tree near his house, here today.
The deceased was identified as Rashpal Singh of Daruman. The body was spotted by some locals who informed the Police.
