JAMMU, Jan 9: J&K Accounts Employees Association (AEA) called on Director General (DG), Accounts and Treasuries and apprised him about the demands of the accounts cadre in general and violation of transfer policy in particular.
During the meeting, the association highlighted various demands including implementation of SRO 210 of 1994, maintenance seniority in the ration of 1:1, promotions of accountants, assistant account officers, accounts officers, chief account officers to the respective next levels of hierarchy, removal of pay anomaly of AAOs, formulation of service rules of data entry operator, cashiers, class IV and ministerial staff of account and Treasury Separtment, creation of posts in Degree Colleges, Police, Forest and Revenue Departments and designation of Director, Accounts and Treasuries, Jammu and Srinagar as major head of the department with full delegation of powers.
The association further stressed for the deceleration of accounts service as technical, creations of post of record keeper in treasuries and fixation of one year tenure in frontier districts of Leh and Kargil as well as other inaccessible and snow bound areas of Jammu and Srinagar province.
