REASI, Jan 18: Additional District Development Commissioner Ramesh Chander today ordered suspension of one Assistant Engineer and one Junior Engineer of Mechanical sub-division Reasi besides seeking explanation from other absent employees.
The action was taken on the report of ACR Harbans Lal who along with Naib Tehsildar Reasi was deputed by ADDC to check the punctuality of employees in their offices. A total of 10 offices were inspected by ACR in which five employees were found unauthorisedly absent.
The absentees include one employee of Soil Testing Laboratory, one each from SADO and AEO. No employee was found in the office of Mechanical sub-division Reasi. However, unmaintained movement registers of both AE and JE were seized by inspection team from their office.
Further, the salary of all absent employees has been stopped and Programme Officer ICDS has been appointed as enquiry officer who will submit his report within week’s time.
It is pertinent to mentioned here that some officials have also kept unsanctioned leave applications in the attendance registers just to escape from the office and assigned duty in defensive way.
