Adopt proactive approach to resolve public issues: Kohli to officers

RAJOURI, Mar 15: Minister for Animal, Sheep Husbandry and Fisheries, Abdul Ghani Kohli today asked the Government functionaries to adopt people friendly and proactive approach to resolve their issues.
“Officers are the main tools of the Government and they are duty bound to adopt people friendly and proactive approach to resolve their problems,” the Minister said while addressing a public grievances redressal camp at village Damal in Kalakote.
He also emphasized on timely completion of development works and urged the officers to take help of the elected public representatives to remove bottlenecks and resolve issues impeding completion of the projects. He said there was no dearth of funds but public money should be put to optimum use so that people could avail benefits of it and the purposes are served.
Asserting that the Government’s main  focus  is on development, the Minister   said that 50% of the budget outlay has been disbursed in advance  and  the remaining 50% will be given in the month of May to pace up  activities and full use of funds in a time bound  manner.
“Transparency and quality control are the measures through which the incumbent dispensation is quantifying the development works,” he said. Minister also announced sanction of Rs 10 lakh out of his CD fund for the developmental works of village Dambal.
Earlier, the Minister conducted extensive tour of Kalakote constituency during which local people briefed him about their demands and issues.  The people demanded augmentation of water and power supply, construction, repair of roads and improvement in healthcare.
Responding to the demands, the Minister directed all the concerned officers present there to resolve these issue on priority.
