Adhkuwari cave closed for month

JAMMU, Jan 27:  In view of the renovation work of old temple complex and widening of the passage leading to the holy cave at Adhkuwari, the cave would remain closed for darshan for the pilgrims for the next one month.
Dr Mandeep K Bhandari, Chief Executive Officer, Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board (SMVDSB), said that work is apace on the renovation of the old temple complex at Adhkuwari, wherein a large queue system leading to the holy cave is being setup.
Dr Bhandari said that the outer passage leading to the cave is also being widened for better access.
“In order to ensure unhindered work close to the holy cave, it has been decided to keep the cave closed for darshan for next one month, during which the work will be completed,” he said adding that the civil wing of the Shrine Board has been asked to ensure time bound completion of the work.
