ADGP reviews functioning of HG, CD, SDRF, Security Wings

JAMMU, Feb 17:  Additional Director General of Police Home Guards, Civil Defence, SDRF and Security Munir Ahmad Khan today reviewed the functioning of both the wings.
An official spokesman said that soon after assuming the charge, Munir Khan chaired meetings with senior officers of both wings separately. The officers briefed the ADGP regarding the functioning of their respective wings.
During these meetings power point presentations regarding the functioning of these wings were given. The ADGP assured that all genuine issues of subordinate formations will be addressed on top priority.
At Home Guard Headquarters, ADGP inspected all sections of the Directorate, besides the office of DIG HG/CD & SDRF Jammu, office of Director HG Jammu. The meeting was attended by SSPs Shabir Ahmad Malik, Suneel Raj, Vikas Gupta, Javid Hassan Bhat and Bashir Ahmad Sofi.
During the meeting at Security Headquarters, ADGP took review of the security setup of J&K. He impressed upon the officers and officials to continue their respective assignments with zeal and determination. He emphasized upon the officers to be more vigilant and alert and stressed for need of improving the preparedness to counter any attacks with effective response.  He formulated various ways and means to augment the existing security measures at vital installations.
The meeting at Security Headquarters was attended by Alok Kumar, IGP Security and other senior officers of Sub Units of Security Wing.
