REASI, Feb 28: In a road accident, Additional DC Reasi Babu Ram and his wife among five persons were injured while driver of the ADC’s vehicle died in the mishap, here this evening.
The accident took place at village Dabb, near Pouni when the ADC’s vehicle JK02AU- 5537 collided with a minibus, bearing registration number JK20-4010. ADC Babu Ram along with other family members, was on way from Reasi to Sunderbani for attending a marriage function. Driver of the ADC’s vehicle, identified as Amarjit Singh, son of Gajan Singh of Nanak Nagar Jammu, who was critically wounded in the mishap, succumbed to his injuries at CHC Pouni.
The other, injured, including ADC Babu Ram, his wife Rakhi and three passengers of the minibus, identified as Vijay Kumar son of Thodu Ram of Talimore Reasi, Anu Devi wife of Puran Chand of Kalad and her daughter Rashmi Devi.
Vijay Kumar was referred to GMC Jammu in view of serious injuries while ADC and his wife were discharged after first aid.
Dead body of the driver was shifted to DH Reasi.
Meanwhile, in another road accident at Katra near Balini bridge, a Swift Dzire JK20- 5030 rolled down in a gorge resulting into injures to Devinder Singh, son of Rashpal Singh of Bhagta Katra, his wife Sapna Rani and their son Savansh.
They were going from Serwad to Katra when the accident took place. The injured were shifted to CHC Katra.
