ADC orders removal of bottlenecks on NH

RAMBAN, Jan 29: Additio-nal Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Angrez Singh Rana issued an order to restrict officials, locals and non-locals from obstructing ongoing four lane construction work on the National Highway 44 from Nashri to Banihal.
The order was issued by the officer keeping in view the importance of construction work of four lane project and numerous complaints by the companies like HCC Limited, GAMMON India Private Limited, Navayuga Limited and RAMKEY Limited regarding undue interference of people in ongoing work.
The order reveals that any type of interference from outside if resulted in hampering the prestigious four lane work responsible for overall development of the Ramban would not be tolerated and action will be taken under law.
The order reads that it is imperative to take corrective measures and breach of the same shall bring offenders to the eventual action under law and if left unchecked will certainly delay the time bound completion of work, the order depicted.
Earlier, the District Magistrate also imposed section 144 on National Highway for one month but soon after the expiring of its date, some people started again hampering the ongoing work for want of jobs/ employments.
Reportedly, the companies have already engaged some people in the construction work keeping in view their requirement and thus, it is not possible for these agencies to recruit all of them because of availability of experienced workers and engineers with them who act as backbone for them.
