Adbi Kunj holds meet

JAMMU, Apr 13: Adbi Kunj held a special literary meet at its literacy centre in which a large number of literary figures and literature lovers participated.
The meet was presided over by a veteran activist of the organisation who attended the meet after a long time. Er Jagdish Chander Sharma, a well known Hindi and Dogri poet and writer and another well known figure S Malik Singh Wafa were the guests of honour whereas the proceedings were conducted by a senior member of Kunj Jammu Raj Kamal.
Adbi Kunj president Sham Talib threw light on the shining personality of Kashmiri veteran poet Peer Zahid Ghulam Ahmed “Mahjoor”. On the occasion Adbi Kunj paid tributes to legendry actor and singer Kundan Lal Sehgal on his 114th birth anniversary.
In the creative literary session Santosh Shan Nadaan presented a Kashmiri article on the life of Mahjoor and Sham Talib also read out an Urdu paper on Kundan Lal Sehgal. In the beginning of poetic session Tarhi Ghazal round up was also held. Poets recited their Tarhi Ghazals and with this poets recited their kalaam in different languages.
The poets who recited their poems were Santosh Nadaan, Fozia Malik, Malik Singh Wafa, Aasrash Om Dalmotra, Bishan Dass Khak, Raj Kamal, Jagdish Chander Sharma, Sanjeev Kumar, Mohammad Baqar Saba, S K Gupta, Rajeev Kumar, Abdul Jabbar Butt, Romesh Rahi, Masoon Kishtwari, Rampal Poli, Rakesh Tript, Raz Reyaz Sohil, Manzoor Badana, Rajan Shamas, Ajay Basotra, M L Gangoo Frisal, Vinod Katib and Sham Talib. The meet came to an end with vote of thanks by chairman Aarash Om Dalmotra Rajpuri.
