Adbi Kunj celebrates 41st Foundation Day

JAMMU, Aug 30: Adbi Kunj, Jammu, organized a literary and cultural function here at KL Saigal Hall of J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, to celebrate its 41st Foundation Day.
Prominent Urdu Short Story writer and senior Advocate, SS Anand Lehar, presided over the function whereas Ram Paul, Ex-Minister, was the chief guest. Dr Raj Kumar Sharma, eminent Hindi literary personality, Sohail Kazmi, eminent journalist, Sahil Mirza, Advocate and Arvinder Singh Aman, additional secretary, JKAACL, were the guests of honour.
In his welcome address, Sham Talib, president of the organization, threw light on various aspects of the organization. He also highlighted literary and cultural activities of the organization.
Sohail Kazmi and Arvinder Singh Aman also highlighted the achievements of the organization during the past 40 years for the promotion and upliftment of literature in Urdu and other languages with its continuing weekly meets on every Sunday.
Aarish Om Dalmotra, chairman of the organization and ML Ganjoo (Frisal) presented their papers on different aspects of ‘Adbi Kunj’. A composite ‘Mushaira’ was also organized on the occasion.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Ved Uppal, organizer, Adbi Kunj, Jammu.
The function concluded with vote of thanks by Aarish Om Dalmotra and KL Deewana, chairman and general secretary of the organization, respectively.
