MUMBAI, June 12:
Bollywood actor Armaan Kohli was today arrested for allegedly assaulting his girlfriend, a senior police official said tonight.
The arrest by Santacruz police came on a complaint filed on June 4 by Kohli’s girlfriend, a 35-year-old model, the official said.
Based on her statement, Kohli was booked under sections 323 (punishment for voluntarily causing hurt), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) and other relevant sections of the IPC.
The actor was absconding since then, the official said.
According to the complainant, she was in a relationship with 46-year-old Kohli for past three years and they used to stay together in a flat in suburban Santacruz, the official said.(PTI)
