Ace footballer Arun Malhotra for developing sports infra in Poonch

JAMMU, Mar 17: Ace International footballer Arun Malhotra, who is also Vice Chairman District Sports Development Committee, Poonch and member of J&K State Sports Council has advocated for the development of sports infrastructure in Poonch, which he said has the potential of producing international stuff.
He said this during a two days visit to Poonch, in which he took stock of the sports activities going on in Sports Stadium and other playfields in the district.
He also took stock of the requirements in different games for betterment of sports in the district.
Mr Malhotra also interacted with coaches of different games and sports and appreciated their efforts in grooming the young talent.
He also bestowed some soccer coaching tips to the football coaches on the occasion.
The coaches present on the occasion were Krishan Lal Sharma, retired Sports Officer; Nirdosh Kumar, In-charge Sports Stadium Poonch; besides coaches of various games including Mustaq Ahmed, Tarlochan Singh, Pawan Kumar, Mukesh Kumar, Narinder Singh PEM, Sourab Sharma PET Ravinder Singh and Mohinder Bali.
While interacting with the payers of Hockey, Volleyball, Boxing, Handball and Football, Mr Malhotra advised them to work hard and said that the hardwork is always a key to success.
Earlier, he had a meeting with District Development Commissioner, Poonch, MH Malik, who happens to be the Chairman of District Sports Development Committee Poonch
He discussed the issues and problems being faced by the players during their practice at Sports Stadium Poonch, the DDC in turn assured full support in promoting sports culture in the district.
