JAMMU, Dec 15: Acclaimed international music band from the Republic of Tunisia is all set to vibrate Jammu with their scintillating performance on December 18 here.
Organised by Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) Ministry of External Affairs Government of India in association with J&K Academy of Art Culture and Languages this is going to be the 11th world performance by ICCR in Jammu.
Giving details the Regional Director of ICCR J&K, Balwant Thakur informed that in it’s endeavor to bring world to India, particularly to Jammu, Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR) is bringing an international cultural group from Republic of Tunisia to Jammu for its performance on December 18 and the performance is being held at Abhinav Theatre, Jammu at 5 pm in collaboration with J&K Academy of Art Culture and languages.
He informed that Tunisia is the smallest country in North Africa and is bordered by Algeria to the west, Libya in the southeast, and the Mediterranean Sea to the north and east. ICCR is bringing a music band ‘Ghassen Azaiez and his Band’ from Sfax city of Tunisia. The group is born out of the basic idea “Spread Music” that not only draws upon the Arab music, heritage in general but the Tunisian in particular. The group aims at the spread of the culture of hope and life so as to fight against all sorts of cultural apostasy and obscurantism.
The entry to the show is free however for e-invites the interested people can mail their requests to iccrjammu@gmail.com. He assured that all forwarding requests will be provided e-invites on priority basis.
