JAMMU, May 13: Sidhra police arrested an absconding notorious criminal, who was wanted in a vehicle snatching case.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Sidhra police post conducted raid in Narwal area and arrested an absconding notorious criminal, who along with his three associates had snatched an alto car on May 6, 2017.
The accused has been identified as Babar Choudhary, son of Mohammad Syed Choudhary, a resident of Chak Mohammad Yaar, RS Pura.
A case under FIR Number 105/17 under Section 382 RPC stands registered against him and his three other associates with Nagrota police station.
The snatched vehicle was recovered and three associates of Babar Choudhary were arrested earlier.
Babar Choudhary is a notorious criminal and was booked under stringent Public Safety Act (PSA), which was revoked few days back. He was also involved in various criminal cases registered with different police station.
Further investigation into the case FIR Number 105/17 is going on.
Police team led by Incharge Sidhra police post SI Tariq Ahmed made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Nagrota Inspector Bhushan Singh Manhas, SDPO Nagrota Dr Amit Sharma and SP Rural Arun Gupta.
