Absconding murder accused nabbed by Satwari police

JAMMU, Mar 6: Satwari police nabbed an absconding murder accused from Punjab.
As per police sources, on October 16, Lakhvinder Singh, son of Manjeet Singh of Chatha Pind lodged a complaint with police station Satwari that Dharamvir Singh, son of Mohinder Singh of Chatha came to his residence and took away his brother Jatinder Singh alias Jaggi on his motorcycle bearing registration number JK02AN-7513 at about 5 pm. “My brother did not return home till late night”, the complainant stated in his report.
On October 20, Dharamvir Singh, Inderjeet Singh alias Sonu Khanda, son of Tirath Singh of Bhour Camp, Chatha and Prem, servant of Mohinder Singh were seen going towards Lalyal Nandwal side and the complainant informed police station Satwari.
After search, police recovered dead body of Jatinder Singh alias Jaggi from Nikki Tawi floating near crusher opposite village Sardara Chak.
A case under FIR number 217/12 under Section 302, 34 and 201 RPC was registered at police station Satwari and Dharamvir Singh and Prem were arrested. However, the third accused namely Inderjeet Singh managed to escape to neighbouring State.
On specific information, police team from Satwari police station raided a hideout in Patiala district of Punjab and nabbed Inderjeet Singh.
Further investigation into the case is going on. Police team led by SI Tribhawan Khajuria, incharge police post Beli Charana made the arrest under the supervision of SHO Satwari Inspector Kulbir Singh Choudhary, SDPO Gandhi Nagar Harjeet Singh, officiating SP South Uday Bhaskar Billa and SSP Jammu Uttam Chand.
