JAMMU, Apr 22: Gandhi Nagar police arrested an absconder, whose arrest warrant has been issued by Principal Session Judge Jammu.
As per police sources, on reliable information, a team from Gandhi Nagar Police Station conducted raid and apprehended an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
The accused has been identified as Arjun Sharma alias Glodu, son of Vinod Kumar of Rajinder Bazaar Jammu.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 323/2011 under Sections 364, 384 and 201 RPC with Police Station Gandhi Nagar. Arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Principal Sessions Judge Jammu.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gandhi Nagar Inspector Sunil Singh Jasrotia made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas, SP South Sandeep Gupta and SSP Jammu Vivek Gupta.
