RAMBAN, Nov 29: Banihal police arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest for the past five years.
As per police sources, on specific information, police team from Banihal police station conducted raid in an area of Jammu district and arrested an absconder, who was at large since 2010.
The accused has been identified as Deedar Singh, son of Kartar Singh of Chatta Farm, Jammu.
He was involved in a case registered under FIR number 254/2006 under Section 379 and 420 RPC and 6/5 Forest Act with police station Banihal.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Banihal police station Inspector Nazir Ahmed Dar made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO Banihal Mohammad Rafiq and SSP Ramban Randeep Kumar.
