JAMMU, Apr 16: Gangyal police apprehended an absconder, who was at large since long.
As per police sources, on specific information, a team from Gangyal Police Station conducted raid and arrested an absconder, who was evading his arrest since long.
The accused has been identified as Ram Narash, son of Ram Chand, a resident of Uttar Pradesh, at present Shanti Nagar Kunjwani.
He was wanted in a case registered under FIR Number 125/2002 under Section 451, 323, 341 and 336 RPC with Police Station Gangyal and arrest warrant under Section 512 CrPC also stands issued against him by Special Municipal Court.
Further investigation into the case is going on.
Police team led by SHO Gangyal SI Nayat Ali made the arrest under the supervision of SDPO South Mohammad Rafiq Manhas and SP South Sandeep Choudhary.
