DODA, July 14: First Class cricketer, Abid Nabi helped Green Shaheen Cricket Club Doda to crush Balhera Cricket Academy (BCA) Haryana by 205 runs to advance into the next round of the ongoing All India 13th Gufran Memorial T20 Cricket Championship 2017, being played at Sports Stadium, here.
The tournament is being organized by Young Star Cricket Club Doda and sponsored by Rashtriya Rifles Unit Doda.
Batting first, Green Shaheen Doda made 247 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in the allotted 15 overs. Abid Nabi played a splendid innings of 105 runs off just 38 balls for his team, while Asrar made valuable 63 runs. From BCA Haryana, Anirudh and Ashok Atri scalped 2 and 1 wicket respectively.
In reply, Balhera Cricket Academy Haryana team collapsed at 42 runs in 9 overs. Kamal Sharma was the top scorer with 17 runs, while Ashish Sharma made 12 runs. From Green Shaheen Doda, Rasik Dar was the most successful bowler who scalped 6 wickets, while Abid Nabi and Nadeem Dar shared 1 wicket each. Abid Nabi of Green Shaheen Doda was adjudged as the man of the match for his brilliant ton. He was given prize by Sr Video Analyst BCCI, Sudhir Singh and Sr Umpire Ifroz Rather
The match was officiated by V P Singh and Ifroz Rather as umpires, while Milind Gore maintained the scorebook.
