Abhinaya Kala Manch stages Hindi play ‘Spartacus’

JAMMU, Sept 18: Badal Sircar’s Hindi play “Spartacus” was presented by Abhinaya Kala Manch Reasi at Abhinav Theatre, here today.
The play was directed by Shadab Khan and supported by Union Ministry of Culture and NHPC Region J&K.
Romesh Kumar, ADC Reasi was the chief guest while Chander Mohan, Executive Director, Region J&K, NHPC Limited, was the guest of honour and Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, additional secretary, JKAACL, was the special guest on the occasion.
Spartacus is the story based on Roman Empire; the story revolves around a main character Spartacus, according to that story during that period of Roman era. The play was highly liked by the audience who non-stop clapped for the participants who portrayed every character expertly. The quality of the direction further beautified the play, which was evident in the movement on stage and blocking of the positions.
The artists who performed the different characters included Shubam Sahwani as Spartacus, Anjali Anand as Valenia, Arun Verma as Karlos (Sanapati), Neeraj Kesar as Solovious, Shadab Khan as Daraba, Isha Sharma as Halina, Manjeet Singh as Krosis, Sawan Sangral as Kagaro, Karan Bansotra as Santonous, Pritam Kumar as Viatiacus, Rohit Kumar, Happy, Anil Kumar, Harshdeep Singh, Akash Deep Singh and Bhagam Bali as six Ghulams, Rashib Banathia as Spahi-1 and Sumit as Spahi-2.
The back stage lights were executed by Pankaj Sharma and Lokesh Sharma Lucky while sound/ music was rendered by Rajesh Ajnabi.
